Whitney

Joining us in 2020, Whitney has become an integral part of our hospital staff starting as a veterinary technician and now the manager of our entire tech team. Originally from Illinois, Whitney has been working in the animal medical field for over 10 years in both general practice and specialty roles. She finds all aspects of her position rewarding & and is especially interested in anesthesia and internal medicine. Currently enrolled remotely in San Juan College to obtain her CVT license, Whitney is dedicated to caring for both her pet patients and their human counterparts. Compassionate, generous, driven and always willing to help where needed, Whitney truly represents Birch Island’s level of care & commitment.

Whitney shares her home with her boyfriend and their animal family; 3 dogs (Shishko, Supra & Stryker) and 2 cats (Olly & Shae). When not actively looking after our patients or studying, you can find her at the movies, listening to an audiobook or curled up on the couch with her nose in a book (likely surrounded by her personal menagerie).
